(Georgetown, TX) Today at the Williamson County Commissioners Court meeting Dale Vannoy announced that he is resigning from office effective today. "It has been a deep honor for me to serve the residents of Williamson County as the elected Precinct 2 Constable since 2004. Over 15 years of my life has been focused on law enforcement, and I am proud of what my staff and I have accomplished in the last seven years while serving as Constable," Vannoy said. Under Constable Vannoy’s leadership, the office successfully served over 11,000 warrants, 22,000 civil papers, and collected over $3.5 million in fines and fees for the taxpayers of Williamson County. "Over the last few years my family has grown larger and it is my duty to devote more of my time to them before they grow up and leave the house. While my family is my primary concern, I have always had an entrepreneurial streak and I am embarking on a new business venture that will satisfy that part of my purpose in the private sector," said Vannoy. Vannoy continued, “My family and staff have supported me in innumerable ways while I served as Constable. I want to thank them for all they have done to help make Williamson County a great place to live, work, & play. I also want to thank the citizens of Pct 2 for giving me their trust to take County service to a higher level.” Dale Vannoy is a husband to his best friend Lucinda, a father of four, a successful business leader and public servant with over 15 years of law enforcement experience. Prior to being elected as the Precinct 2 Williamson County Constable in 2004 he served as a police officer in Cedar Park, Leander, and Horseshoe Bay, Texas. He is a former business owner and served in numerous leadership positions with the Cedar Park Youth League, the Cedar Park Chamber of Commerce, the Cedar Park Community Foundation, and the Texas Justice of the Peace & Constable Association on their legislative committee. Dale was honored as Cedar Park’s Citizen of the Year in 2003 and received numerous other awards such as the Chief’s Award of Excellence, a Life Saving Award, and he was a Community Service Award recipient.
